About Me

Salochanee Reddy, PhD

has lived the quiet unravelling of midlife—the kind that whispers, Is this still true?

Midlife in Blossom is her personal offering to women standing in that in-between space. Not a guide, but a companion. A soft place to land when the old story no longer fits.

As founder of Equilibrium -a constellation of well-being platforms in South Africa, Kenya, and the global Bridge of Hope community - she has spent over a decade walking with women, leaders, and humanitarian workers through transitions, trauma recovery, and quiet reinvention.

Her work blends integrative counselling, conscious coaching, program design, and systems healing—always rooted in cultural sensitivity, deep presence, and the wisdom of the body. She honours the unseen emotional labour many carry and doesn’t offer formulas or fixes - but invitations:

To slow down.

To listen inward.

To trust the quiet pull toward something more.

Because midlife isn’t the end.
It’s where your true self begins to bloom.

From the Author

of Midlife in Blossom

I didn’t write Midlife in Blossom to offer answers. I wrote it to ask the questions I didn’t know I was allowed to ask.

What if success isn’t what I thought it was?

What if motherhood shifts — but never ends?

What if friendship frays, and that’s okay?

What if love looks different, softer, wilder — or doesn’t arrive at all?

And what if the life I’ve built… isn’t the whole story?

This book began quietly — in journals, voice notes, and whispered thoughts I never planned to share. Over time, it became a mirror. And eventually, a companion. It follows the places we’re often told to skip past: career burnout, family shifts, friendship grief, romantic detours, and the societal noise that drowns out our truth.
I didn’t write this from a mountaintop — I wrote it from the messy middle of real life. While becoming an empty nester, healing from surgery, navigating loss, and learning to soften.
So if you’re in a season of questioning, of not knowing, of unbecoming… Welcome.
This isn’t a manual or a five-step plan.
It’s a conversation. A holding space.
A gentle reminder that maybe — just maybe — you’re not lost.
You’re blooming.
In your own time. On your own terms.
Thank you for meeting me here.
